Every great adventure begins with a simple spark.

For us, that spark came during family playtime.

One day, our daughter brought her beloved axolotl toy to us and began sharing stories about it. What started as a playful conversation quickly became a stream of ideas, questions, and possibilities. Who was this little axolotl? What adventures might it have? What lessons could it learn?

The more we imagined, the more the character seemed to come to life.

Before long, sketches filled notebooks, story ideas covered sticky notes, and an entire world began taking shape around one curious little axolotl.

That first spark eventually became Relaxalotl, a story about rest, love, hope, and navigating big feelings. It also became something much bigger: a family dream to create books that help children build confidence, understand emotions, and discover the strengths they already carry within themselves.

Today, Driftwood Dreams Publishing remains a family-created adventure, inspired by imagination, connection, and the everyday moments that often become the most meaningful stories.
